Is it necessary? If so why?

And with all the arm waving going on with the new rules, will they be able to keep their balance?

If they can't there will be the danger of broken arms will there not?

Not. I've done it when we have been training and have occasionally lost my balance. Unless you are as good on skates as you are walking, it has to be a retrograde step

Do we have problems in England?

Na we dont

The Portuguese do.

Last weekend there were lots of problems in a PL match in Portugal - Oeiras vs Porto Santo.

-32 team fauls.
-match stopped 20 minutes so the refs look into the rule book, had to do with the minimum number of players in the rink with an exclusion of a Gkeeper.
A team has to have a GK at all times except in the last 5 minutes. A team cannot play with less than 2 outplayers and a GK. The PL refs didnt know this. ah ah ah ah ah elementary.
-Audience was so fed up that most left the rink.

As you can see there are realy and severe problems in Portugal PL.

Inline refs manage, and whenever I've reffed in training with skates on I've always found it easier to keep up with the play/ getting into possition etc.

I didn't mean make it compulsory, just an option maybe.

Theres always a danger of broken bones for me Laughing have you seen how many times I have the ball hit at me, or get knocked into?!
